FEBRUARY FAVOURITES
I can hardly believe that it's March tomorrow - where is this year going?! Winter seems to be trying to cling on with the frosty mornings and occasionally snow flurry, but it's clear that spring is well and truly on it's way - the days are getting longer, the tulips are in season and the shops are replacing jumpers with swimwear. I may be getting a little ahead of myself here, but I'm so ready for Spring! In the meantime, here's what I've been loving this month.
First on the agenda today is skincare. I may be getting excited about spring, but my skin is still feeling the effects of the cold. Hydration has been top of my list and I've been loving the combination of Sarah Chapman Overnight Facial and Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask (full review here). I've been alternating between the two each night and they've helped to boost the hydration of my skin no end, making my make up apply so much more easily and evenly and look so better.
I've always been one for physical exfoliators and never really ventured into chemical exfoliators, but the FAB Facial Radiance Pads have changed my exfoliating game. They're pre soaked pads that you swipe all over your skin after cleansing. I was a little nervous to try them as I thought they would be a bit too harsh and stripping for my skin, but they don't feel that way at all. Instead, they leave my skin touchably softer and add a boost of radiance. The directions say to use them twice a day, but I feel that would be a little too much for my skin, I prefer to use them a couple of times a week instead.
If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, you'll know that I was super excited to have the Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base back in my life. It's unbelievable how much it helps my eyeshadow to both look better and to stay on longer without creasing. Without it, I have a massive issue of my eyeshadow creasing within only a few minutes of applying it, but this primer makes such a difference! It may seem slightly excessive to prime your eyes along with every other step you do in your make up routine, but if you suffer from your eyeshadow creasing then trust me, it's a worthy investment!
Sticking to the theme of eyes, the new love in my life is the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette. If you're one who loves warm, neutral shades, then this is the palette for you! The quality of the eyeshadows is insane! They're so buttery, pigmented and ultra easy to blend. There's maybe a maximum of two shades that I probably won't use, but the other fourteen shades are right up my street - which I think is good going for any palette. The number of different looks you can create with this palette is endless, it will definitely be a staple in my make up routine for some time to come!
Finally, to finish off with something a little different. I was given the Rituals Happy Mist Bed and Body Spray as a gift and it's seriously gorgeous! It combines sweet orange and cedar to create a refreshing, uplifting, energizing scent that I just can't get enough of. I love to spray it in my bedroom, especially at night before I go to bed, and I can still smell it when I wake up in the morning.
What have you all been loving in the month of February?!

I've been seriously considering picking up the original Chocolate Bar Palette recently because the formula sounds like a dream and I think I could actually use every shade! I love that they give you more of the light shades that you would be using more often!
ReplyDeleteI can't recommend it enough! There's a shade for every occasion, you won't be disappointed!
DeleteI need to get my hands on a Too Faced palette asap! x
