3 NAIL POLISH COLOURS FOR SPRING

As the sun finally starts to grace us with its presence - better late than never, right? - what better way to perk up an outfit than with a splash of nail polish. When it comes to nail polish, my heart lies with Essie; the brush is the perfect size, the formula is super long lasting and the colour selection is insane - if you can't find a colour that's right for you, then you aren't trying! Personally I'm not a huge fan of the typical pastel shades that most associate with spring, but I have tried to cover all bases with my three picks - a nude, a bright and a pastel.

Let's dive straight into it and start with the brightest shade of them all - Essie's Too Too Hot. It's a beautiful vibrant red with orange undertones to give it a more coral vibe. You could probably get away with just the one coat, but I always like to apply two anyway to get a totally opaque colour. I like to finish off my nail polish with the Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat  to give an extra long lasting, shiny finish. Coral shades just scream summer, sunshine and holidays to me so as soon as the sun is out, so is the coral!

Next up is the classic never-goes-out-of-style nude. Sand Tropez by Essie has quite the cult following and it's easy to see why. It's the perfect nude shade for my skin tone - not too pink, not too brown. A subtle nude nail is great if you want to feel a little more put together, but just aren't in the mood for bright shades. Sand Tropez is a timeless shade and it's my go-to nude all year round!

Finally, it's over to the classic spring pastel shade. It's not a grey, it's not a duck egg blue, it's not a mint - it's all three of them thrown in together! Maximillian Strasse Her is a unique mix of soft mint and muted grey to create a gorgeous super flattering pastel shade. It does look a lot more green in the bottle - don't be put off! - but once it's on your nails, you're going to love it!
