THE 3 SKINCARE GAME CHANGERS
After sticking to the same skincare routine for what seems like forever, it appears that my skin has had enough of it. My T zone has gotten oiler, whilst at the same time my whole face seems to have become so much drier. Since the products I was using were clearly not cutting it any longer, I began the hunt for products to balance my T zone and to up the hydration. So what better excuse to branch out and try some brands that I haven't really used before.
First off, let's start with these two ah-mazing products from La Roche-Posay. I had been eyeing up the Serozinc for some time, since it seems everyone and their dog (maybe not) has tried it and loved it. I wasn't sure that it was something my skin needed at first, but I'm so happy with the results it has given me. I use it on a morning after cleansing my skin - either spraying it directly onto my face straight from the can, or spraying it onto a cotton pad then swiping it all over my face. It's gentle enough to not irritate my skin, whilst at the same time has balanced out the oils on my nose and chin and has helped to heal and clear any lurking blemishes.
At night, I have been using the La Roche-Posay Micellar Water after cleansing my face to help to get rid of any make up that I may have missed with my cleansing oil. And my goodness - I think my face is clean until I see the cotton pad I used with the Micellar Water! I can't tell you how much clearer my skin looks since I have started to use these two products from La Roche-Posay. Even areas where I didn't really think there was a problem have been looking so much more even in tone. Any excess oil has been soaked up and pesky blemishes are slowly but surely being banished from my skin.
Next, onto Avene. I received the Skin Recovery Cream as part of a gift set for Christmas and if I'm honest, it was put into my skincare stash and kind of forgotten about.. That was until the icy weather began to take it's toll on my skin and so I went snooping through my stash looking for a more heavy duty moisturiser. I found the little Avene kit - which also contained a cleanser and the Thermal Spring Water which I'm yet to try - and the rest is history. I've been using it at least once a day and it has done some serious moisturising action to my face. It's a pretty heavy cream, but I have found that it hasn't broken my out at all and my make up applies just fine over the top of it. And just like that - my dry patches are a thing of the past! Definitely one to try out if you need something a little more heavy duty in the colder weather!
What skincare products are you loving at the moment? I'm always looking for more to try!

Ahh these all look so good, your photos are so beautiful! I'd love give them a try - is there anything good for sensitive skin that you could recommend me? I'd love to give the Micellar water a go! :D xx

Thank you very much! The Avene skincare range is targeted at sensitive skin so that may be worth a try? I also like the Kiehl's Ultra Facial range, my skin isn't that sensitive, but I think it should be suitable for more sensitive skin. Definitely worth trying out a sample!
