MY TOP 5 ESSENTIAL MAKE UP PRODUCTS

Being a make up devotee, I'm always switching up the products that I use in my search to find my holy grail items. But no matter how many different products I try, there is a core few that I find myself coming back to time after time. Most days, I use these same five products and I'm yet to find anything that will outshine them! So without further ado, please meet my top 5 essential make up products.

When it comes to mascara, for me it's all about length. I find that my eyes are quite hooded, so the added length to my lashes really helps to open up my eye area. Try as I might, I can't find a product that gives me the length that I'm after quite like the L'Oréal Telescopic Extra Black Mascara. The wand is plastic which won't suit everyone, but for me it's the only kind I like as I always find that thicker bristle ones make my lashes way to clumpy. If it's length that you're looking for, this one is for you!

As I've mentioned before, I much prefer a lightweight base to a thick and heavy foundation - especially as the summer months are fast approaching. If you want something that makes your skin look dewy and glowing, whilst still covering any redness or blemishes, then look no further than Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue. I've tried out a lot of BB creams/tinted moisturisers and I'm yet to find anything that tops this beauty - it's a staple in my everyday routine. Read my full review here.

I like my brows to look pretty natural, I just need a teeny bit of help to fill in some areas that are a little sparse. I've found that a lot of brow products are either aimed at brown brows and are way to dark for me, or the shades that claim to be for blonde brows end up looking orange! If you've got dark blonde brows like me, I'd highly recommend checking out Soap and Glory's Archery Brow Pencil in 'blondeshell'. The colour is a perfect match for me and the skinny pencil allows for precise application.

Early mornings and I don't mix awfully well, so when I'm functioning on not enough sleep (most days!) I need something that is going to brighten up my eyes so I can at least pretend to look a little more awake than I feel. Insert here the cult classic that everyone and their dog's sister has heard of - the YSL Touche Eclat. A few strokes of this magic little pen and anyone would think that I'm a morning person! Trust me - it's worth the hype!

Up last is a product that never fails to make an appearance in my make up routine - bronzer! I don't have the most prominent cheek bones, so I like to use a bronzer that can help me to create a little bit of a chiseled cheek, but that won't turn me into an umpa lumpa. The Body Shop Honey Bronzer is light enough for me even in the depths of winter and I love the subtle bronzed/contoured look that you can create with it. For those of us who are a little more on the paler side, it's definitely one to check out!

So there we have it, my top 5 essential make up products that I just can't help but reach for. I'd love to know what your holy grail products are!
